Who am I?

I am a 28 year old, who lives in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. I live with my Husband, 1 year old toddler and 3 dogs.

How Long have I been knitting?

I have been knitting since l was 7 years old. Like most people, my grandma showed me how and I went to school each day eager to come home and knit on my scarf that was riddled with mistakes.

I learn very quickly that patience is key, and from there my passion for knitting bloomed.

Why Tech Editing?

After working in a standard “9-5” office job after finishing University, I had a hidden desire that I always do something in the knitting community. I was already working in Retail Merchandise Planning for a Global Business, so numbers and spreadsheets were my thing.

After I gave birth to my little girl in May of 2023, and while on maternity leave, complication with my pregnancy and birth meant having to find a work from home role.

I signed up to study The Certificate of Technical Editing from The Knitting Guild Association and that’s how The Purl Edit was born.
